For those looking for something light and bright that’s perfect to pair with a spicy pork pizza, the 2022 Gamay Noir takes Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Yarra Valley with King Valley Gamay to create a youthful, juicy and lip-smackingly delicious drop. 

Innocent Bystander winemaker Geoff Alexander says the Shiraz Cienna is the first time Innocent Bystander has used Cienna grapes in a wine and it has received great feedback from drinkers since it was released at the start of winter. 

“Blending Cienna with Shiraz offers a flavour spectrum unlike anything we have produced before,” he says. 

“The result is a smooth, rich, red wine with velvety cherry and raspberry aromas and a soft finish that will appeal to those who don’t find traditional red wines to their liking.”

Innocent Bystander’s HQ in picturesque Healesville in the heart of the Yarra Valley is open every day for delicious wine, local produce, artisan pizza and paella served in the restaurant. It’s the perfect place to celebrate Father’s Day. 

There are two special offers at Innocent Bystander for Father’s Day this year. 

In the restaurant, a Father’s Day special will be offered across the whole weekend: veal shank braised in Shiraz Cienna served with truffle polenta and mushroom ragu – perfectly paired with a glass of Mea Culpa Shiraz. 

From Aug 28 until Sept 3, the cellar door will offer 20% off all Innocent Bystander cases (six bottles) and 20% off Mea Culpa cases across the weekend Sept 2-3.
